The Password Game

The Password Game begins with an ordinary password field and gradually turns it into a puzzle involving numbers, language, geography, chess, formatting, and several systems that have to be managed at the same time. There are 35 rules in total. Each new rule appears only after the current requirements have been satisfied, but every previous rule remains active. Adding something for a later requirement can therefore break an earlier one and force the player to reorganize the password.

Rules Keep Accumulating

The first requirements are familiar: the password needs a minimum length, a number, an uppercase letter, and a special character. Later rules become more specific. The digits must add up to 25, Roman numerals must multiply to 35, and the password needs a month, a sponsor name, a CAPTCHA, the current Wordle answer, a chemical element symbol, and the current moon phase. Other stages ask the player to identify a country from an image or solve a chess position using algebraic notation.

One Password, Many Problems

Some rules require more than adding another word. The player eventually receives an egg named Paul that must remain inside the password. Later, Paul hatches and needs to be fed caterpillar emojis regularly. A spreading fire can also begin destroying characters and must be removed before it reaches important parts of the password. Formatting rules introduce requirements involving bold text, fonts, sizes, and other visual changes.

Challenges can involve:

·         keeping the digit total at exactly 25;

·         solving CAPTCHA and chess puzzles;

·         identifying the current moon phase;

·         adding specific chemical elements;

·         protecting and feeding Paul;

·         removing fire before it spreads;

·         changing formatting without breaking older rules.

Every edit has consequences because the game checks the entire password continuously. Adding a number for one requirement may change the digit total, a Roman numeral inside a word can interfere with another calculation, and deleting part of the text can accidentally remove something required several rules earlier. There are no character upgrades, combat encounters, or conventional levels; the growing password itself functions as the entire puzzle.

Completing the Final Password

Reaching rule 35 is not enough by itself. After satisfying all active requirements, the player must confirm the completed password and then type it again correctly. This makes preserving and understanding the final string important even after the last puzzle has been solved. A successful run depends on planning where different elements are placed, monitoring rules that can change over time, and repeatedly adjusting the same password until all 35 conditions remain valid at once.
