Green Button Game is a short point-and-click puzzle built around a simple objective: find the green button and figure out how to activate it. The game does not use a story, characters, combat, or character progression. Instead, every stage presents a different interactive screen and asks the player to work out where the button is or what has to be done before it can be pressed. The available version contains five levels, with each one changing the way the central idea is presented.
Finding the Button
The solution is not always a clearly visible green circle waiting to be clicked. Players need to inspect the objects on the screen, try different interactive elements, and follow the visual information provided by the level. Some stages use several steps before the correct button can be reached. One level, for example, includes a Wii-themed sign, a green arrow, and another green target that players have to interact with in the correct sequence.
Point-and-Click Challenges
Controls are based on clicking rather than movement through a traditional game world. The official instructions simply tell players to follow what appears on screen, making observation the main skill. Since the puzzle changes between stages, repeatedly clicking the same position is not enough to finish the full set.
The basic gameplay consists of:
· examining each new screen;
· searching for green interactive elements;
· clicking objects that may reveal another step;
· following arrows and other visual instructions;
· discovering how to reach the green button;
· completing all five available levels.
A Different Puzzle on Every Screen
Green Button Game does not include upgrades, inventories, enemies, or a scoring-based progression system. Moving forward simply requires solving the current screen. A failed idea does not require rebuilding a character or repeating a long mission, so players can experiment with different objects until they understand what the level expects.
The challenge comes from the fact that the title gives away the objective but not the solution. Players always know that the green button matters, yet each level can hide or present it in a different way. Progress therefore depends on observation and experimentation rather than reaction speed or combat skill. The full available sequence is compact, with five point-and-click puzzles forming the entire challenge.
